Tour K - 7 day trip Prague - Vienna - Budapest

1st day

Tour central and South Bohemia the first day. Morning visit to Konopiste – very rich furnished chateau 35 miles from Prague. Short stop in Tabor to see the historical main square. Another short stop will be in Trebon a lovely renaissance city owned by the Rosenberg noble family. After lunch Jindrichuv Hradec a municipal town reserve will be visited. Its castle is one of the biggest in Bohemia. Arrival to Telc – UNESCO listed town. Overnight.

2nd day

Morning visit to the Telc renaissance chateau with rich collections. Continue to Jaromerice – Moravian Versailles its french gardens. Stop in Znojmo a county town another municipal reserve a 11th ct town. Drive through the lovely countryside of the Podyji National Park. Arrival in Vienna in late afternoon.

3rd day

Vienna – full day sightseeing visiting all highlights. Old town and St.Stephens cath. The palace of Belvedere and its gardens, the art museum – one of the finest in Europe. Schonbrun palace and gardens, the Danunbe islands . Charles church.
Recommended: Evening tour to dine in Grinzig a typical village of winemakers.

4th day

Full day excursion to see the lovely environs of Vienna. The beautiful city of Baden its lovely gardens and buildings will be seen first. The drive continues through Vienna woods to see Mayerling chapel the place where the only son of Franz Josef -Rudolf was found dead, the monastery of Heiligenblut. The drive proceeds to the beautiful town of Melk to see its spectacular baroque church and library, and the 1000 years old monastery we´ll return to Vienna following the Danube river,

5th day

Morning sightseeing in Vienna to see more museums and sights, after lunch departure to Hungary. The lovely historical town of Sopron will be see first. Approx 1hr stop. The drive to Budapest takes about 3hrs. Arrival to Budapest approx 5pm.

6th day

Full day of sightseeing in Budapest to see the great boulevards, the Buda castle and church of St.Mathew, Millenium square and the leisure parks. The citadell and its spectacular view of the Danube is also included, stop by Parliament buildings and Margaret island won´t be missed either. Old town and famous Vaci pedestrian str. will be inspected by foot.

7th day

In the morning more sightseeing or shopping will be offered. For art lovers there will be time to see the gallery of fine arts/individual visit/ then we´ll take you to Obuda and its ruins of a roman town Aquincum – a short stop by the ruins. The lunch will be offered in St.Andrews a picturesque artist villlages with many 17th and 18th ct mansions and churches. Lot of shopping possibilities. The tour continues along the Danube river to the imposing fortress of Visegrad a lovely viewpoint above the Danube river. Arrival back to Bud at 6pm.
